The staff can arrange two forms of lodging. Arrangements can be made for those who wish to live with a French host family that offer varying accommodations from a single room with kitchen privileges to an entire flat with complete family privacy. Those who prefer hotel accommodations can choose between a hotel room with or without meals or
a modern efficiency apartment sleeping from 4-6 persons.
Shopping facilities abound and the majority of these accommodations are within walking distance of the school. The important thing is to make your arrangements early so that there are possibilities for choice. The Riviera's accommodations fill very quickly as the season approaches.
Accommodation in French families
This accommodation is the most affordable and the most pleasant! You will get an insight in the daily life and customs of a French family. You will learn to understand the language faster. To live in a French family means that you will have to accept the family’s rules and customs. You are a member of their home, but also a guest. Our families are spread all over town but seldom further than 2 km (ca. 1-1/4 mile) from the center. Families with single rooms plus breakfast or evening meal are often located in modern residences possibly with a private bathroom.
For both adults and young students double room with seperate beds or single room. This is an important part of your stay in France. Our host families are carefully selected since many years back. This enables you to get an enriching insight in the daily life of the Frencmen, their manners and customs. You will treated as a full member of the family but with the obligation to follow the rules of conduct applying there.
Extensive freedom is given during the dayFamily boarding house for youth (Youth Hostel)
Located in a large house with a garden, 300 meters/yards from the school. Max 8 youngsters (13 - 16 y.o.) from different countries share this house under family supervision. Extensive freedom is given under the day but there are strict rules at night. Very good food. The proprietress is very responsible and outspoken. She is also one of your substitute teachers and knows both the pupils and their shedules.
Unlimited access to ADSL Internet is available so that keep in touch with your family
and with friends. Free of charge. Also cable TV with 60 channels in 15 different languages.
Meals: Seven days a week, breakfast and evening meals. If you choose full board you will have lunch at school Monday - Friday (see price list on the link Fees).
Family apartments
These can be made available for visiting families where, at least, two members wish to attend the course. During June we have a fairly large number of available apartments.
These are mostly 2-3 room efficiencies, often on the ground floor of a two-family house, sometimes in a suburban section of the city. A car is often a necessity.
