| Full Day Excursion to Picasso, Chagall And Matisse |
| This is an art excursion that you will remember for the rest of your life! We start early in the morning and drive along the coastline on the so-called Corniche d'Or, an enchanted coastal road above the sea. In Antibes we will first visit the Musée Picasso which contains a superb collection of his paintings from 1946 when he resided in the very same building. This will be followed by a light lunch in the old town of Nice. Then in the Afternoon we will visit Musée Chagall that containing one of the largest collections of his works and the equally interesting Musée Matisse which is nearby. Chagall himself rests in the nearby cemetery of Saint-Paul-de-Vence - Cost: 23 Euros transportation + entries in the museums. On Wednesday evenings we have a picnic on the beach by campfire light or, an elegant dinner on the terrace of a seaside restaurant offering good food and live music. On Thursdays we take a half-day excursion by boat to Saint Tropez and the seashore at Pampelonne. Or, to the Cistercian Monastery in Thoronet with a wine tasting at one of the best local vineyards: Chateau Saint-Martin. |
